Storck Bicycle wins Design Oscars
Hannover 10th March 2003. With the Rebel Carbon MTB frame and the racing bike frameset Scenario CD 1.0 / Stiletto Aero fork German bike maker Storck Bicycle has won two Gold awards in the hotly contested international iF Design Award 2005.
The iF design award has been awarded by the Hannover based international forum design since 1954 and is regarded as one of the most significant design honors worldwide.
This year over 2300 products were submitted from over 30 countries. A jury of top international designers chose the winners and awarded a total of 50 gold prizes.
Storck Bicycle, producer of exclusive and high end bicycles and components took home two of the coveted gold trophies and as small company was up against giants such as Audi, Apple Computer, Sony and Siemens.
Proof that small companies with a high level of design and innovation can still be competitive market leaders .
