Rebel Carbon is test winner
Markus Storck has a mission: to find maximum rigidity with minimum weight. He promises this will bring maximum power transfer. Mission accomplished: with dream-worthy rigidity and a respectable weight the Storck Rebel Carbon makes the competition look old in the stiffness-to-weight index.
This bike blasts along the trail and will fill racers with a dose of speed hormones. A small but bitter pill for real racers: the grandiose Fox Terralogic fork with 100mm travel. The tall fork creates stable steering but the cockpit is correspondingly higher and achieving the maximum saddle to bar height is difficult.

Marathon orientated riders will however appreciate everything which brings comfort and straight line stability. We tried the bike out with a 80mm fork and it could hardly be stopped.
Unfortunately Storck does not offer such an option as a standard build. But the frame costs a fair € 1499,- and those who like it fast can build it up with a shorter fork and lighter components - breaking the 10 kilo barrier will not be a problem. With such a build kit the bike would have gained the top test mark “outstanding” as it is the Storck gets a very good “very good”.
Summary: With a sensational stiffness-to-weight factor the Rebel Carbon offers the best power transfer available. A shorter fork and lighter parts would win the best mark.
